What personal information reaches us through this website, why, who it is shared with and how to exercise your rights.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Who is responsible
This website is run by Mandil, which is responsible for the personal information that reaches it through the site.
Privacy contact: email info@mandili.org, phone 052-644-7552, post: Mandil, P.O. Box 635, Kafr Kanna 1693000, Israel.
What reaches us
The site has no sign-up, takes no payments and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- Contact form: first name, last name, email address, subject and message – only what you type.
- WhatsApp, phone or email: your phone number or email address and what you write.
- Technical data: as with any website, the hosting servers automatically log data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to run and secure the site.
- Items stored in your browser: listed in the cookie policy.
Do you have to provide it
There is no legal obligation to give us any information. You provide it by choice and with your consent.
Without a name and a way to reach you we cannot reply. You can read the site itself without giving any detail.
Why we use it
Only for these purposes:
- To answer messages and questions.
- To arrange volunteering, donations or taking part in an activity, when you ask.
- To run and secure the site and prevent abuse (for example, limiting how many messages one address can send).
Who it is shared with
We do not sell personal information or pass it to others for marketing.
It only passes through providers that run the service for us, as far as needed:
- Vercel Inc. – website hosting. Servers may be outside Israel, including in the United States.
- WhatsApp (Meta) – if you choose to send a message through it. It is sent from your device under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
- An email provider – if your message reaches us by email.
- A competent authority – where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
The site itself keeps no messages in a database. We keep a message (in WhatsApp or email) only as long as needed to handle it and any contact that follows, and then delete it.
Technical data is kept by the hosting provider under its policy, for a limited time.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to messages is limited to the Mandil members who handle them. No method is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information.
Your rights
Under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you may:
- See the information about you that we hold.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong, incomplete, unclear or out of date, or to delete it.
- Ask us not to contact you again.
How to exercise them
Write to info@mandili.org or call 052-644-7552. We will reply within the time the law sets. We may ask for an identifying detail to make sure the information goes to the right person.
If you think we did not handle your request properly, you can complain to the Privacy Protection Authority at the Israeli Ministry of Justice.
Mailings
We do not send newsletters or advertising. We will not send you such a message without your explicit consent in advance, as the law requires.
Children
The site is not meant to collect information from minors. Minors who want to contact us are asked to do so with a parent's knowledge.
Changes
If we change how we use information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
